Staffs County Council, Regeneration Sites
Scope of the works
This contract has been successfully managed since its start date in 2017 and until 2022 it covered the extensive regeneration sites – Staffordshire Technology Park, Washery Pool, Kingswood Lakeside, Lymedale Business Park and Pye Green Valley. We continue to maintain Lycett and Silverdale sites.
This includes the maintenance of grass, roadside landscaping, shrub beds, culverts, paving, fences, tree works, litter picking & emptying of waste bins, control of Japanese Knotweed. Cutting wildflower meadow and removing arisings.
Amenity grass management, maintenance of shrub areas and ornamental planting.
A programme of works has been put together from the specifications within the contract and is managed by the Midland Landscaping contract manager and involves the following:
- Scheduling of a programme of works in Midland Landscaping annual calendar
- Works carried out to a high standard to the specification within the contract within a timely manner
- Regular on- site meetings with the client to review and ensure the works are monitored and progressing well. We are involved in actioning any reports produced post inspection
Performance management is undertaken alongside the client and in house with our management team to ensure that high standards are maintained throughout. Any issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
We have close contact and an excellent working relationship with the client and Midland Landscaping Ltd are proactive in flagging up site problems. We are also able to react quickly to price additional adhoc works or responding to Staffs County Council’s requests for rapid deployment of resources. For example, an urgent repair to damaged fencing or removal of fallen/damaged trees which may pose a risk to those on site or members of the public.
We currently undertake monthly visits to undertake litter picking and culvert inspection and clearing as necessary.
