Tarmac Trading Ltd

Scope of the works

We undertake a number of projects for our client Tarmac Trading Ltd. Our client owns a large number of quarry sites, some that are active and others which are currently inactive. They all have various areas requiring ecology, habitat management and grounds maintenance.

As part of their responsibilities the client also requires some large planting schemes, that we have undertaken.

We undertake a number of monthly quarry boundary inspections and provide reports to the client managers to ensure that these sites are secure and that any issues arising can be resolved in a timely manner.

On behalf of our client we offer and provide a wide range of landscape and habitat management work including :-

  • Annual maintenance schemes for grass cutting, strimming, mowing and spraying works
  • Large scale planting schemes
  • Herbicide spraying around tree and shrub planting.
  • Maintenance of ponds on sites including the removal of reeds and scrub removal, scrapping etc.
  • Flailing and litter picking ditches.
  • Cutting back and chipping vegetation to control tall ruderals and scrub.
  • Herbicide spot treatment for buddleia
  • Treeworks & coppicing, annual inspections of woodland trees
  • Fencing works, stile and gate installations etc
  • Bespoke design & installations. For example a pedestrian bridge at Bayston Hill Quarry

In managing and ensuring the necessary works are undertaken, Midland Landscaping is in regular communication with the managers of the Tarmac Trading sites. This ensures that we are able to respond rapidly to carry out additional works as required.
